[aaloa supporters] The universAAL Reference Model and Reference Architecture, call for suggestions

Dear AALoA supporters,


My name is Dario Salvi, and I am responsible for the evaluation work in 
the universAAL project (www.universaal.org).


I am contacting you because we have almost finalized two of the key 
outcomes of the project: the Reference Model and the Reference Architecture.

The main objective of the Reference Model is to is to define the most 
relevant concepts of the AAL domain and the relationships among them, 
while the main objective of the Reference Architecture is to foster 
innovation and standardisation by defining key services in a typical 
ambient assisted living environment, that would be shared, across 
different installations.


As experts of the AAL domain we would very much appreciate your 
suggestions about both of them.
Specifically with Reference Architecture, we are aiming at comparing its 
functionalities with some other competing platform. If you are involved 
in a project that is also developing platforms for AAL, please help in 
identifying points in common and differences.



We would like to have your feedback in the following way:

     Attached is a file "Reference Model.docx" - it introduces the 
reference model, and after each section, there are fields where you can 
provide your comments.

     Attached you can find "Intro to RA" which introduces the role of 
the Reference Architecture and how we want to compare it with your 
platform and the file "ref arch questionaire.xlsx" which contains the 
actual comparison tool.
