Hello, everyone.

I'm a 1st-year PhD student at Halmstad University, Sweden, and my research looks at what architectural requirements AAL Service Platforms must address to support the vision of continuous assistance, which basically is the idea that assistive services (medicine management, activity detection, fall detection etc) being seamlessly provided for the end user not only into a smart environment (home, office, mall etc), but also outdoors (squares, street etc). Some literature search has been done to identify the researches that, at least in a certain level, have focused on this problem of service continuity. To name few: UniversAAL, Uranus, CASAS (in certain extend), UbiSMART and CocaMAAL.

Due to the large number of AAL Service Platforms proposed along the years and the lack of wide-accept terminology for continuous assistance, I might have missed some important project in that field. So, do you know any research project focus on exploring the concept of continuous assistance presented above?

By the way, currently, I'm designing a study to analyse how some AAL Service Platforms address this vision of continuous assistance. But, I have not decided which AAL Service Platform should be included in that study.

Please find attached a short research statement. Feel free to contact me, your feedback is really valuable.

Best regards,

Joao Bentes
